The Philosophy Behind Passages Malibu

The Philosophy Behind Passages Malibu

Learning to prioritize goals and creating a healthy schedule is at the forefront of the Passages Malibu philosophy. To achieve this, you will receive over 65 hours of specialized therapies and holistic modalities each week. These engaging one-on-one sessions with therapists, counselors and other specialists are designed to teach you new methods of self-reflection and ways to positively occupy your time.

Passages Malibu operates on holistic principles and promotes an all-organic recovery from drug and alcohol addiction. At no point are prescription drugs used to “ween” you from a chemical addiction, as these prescription drugs often have withdrawal symptoms and other side effects of their own. Instead, you will self-administer holistic supplements containing important nutrients and other wholesome ingredients needed to replenish your mind, body and spirit simultaneously.

Above all else, achieving a state of deep relaxation and wellbeing is crucial for remaining open to a holistic recovery. As such, a large portion of your time will be dedicated to reveling in spa-like settings, where you can receive Acupuncture and Massage Therapies as well as meditation, yoga, and other practices from the East. Over time, these powerful exercises and modalities will build an inner-strength and give you the confidence needed to triumph over your addiction.

The Four Sources of Addiction

The Four Sources of Addiction

A critical component of Passages Malibu’s philosophy is understanding the four main causes of addiction. No matter what you are addicted to, or how many different simultaneous addictions you have, the root cause is always the same.

You can have only one cause of addiction or all four. Knowing your source of drug and alcohol addiction is a major step towards eliminating from your life once and for all. With this in mind, all drug and alcohol addictions stem from the following four main causes:

A Chemical Imbalance

1. A Chemical Imbalance

Events of the past you have not reconciled

2. Events of the past you have not reconciled

Current conditions you can't cope with

3. Current conditions you can't cope with

Things you believe that aren't true
